Why this model suits an anxious or senior dog
An anxious or senior dog does best when the things that usually make grooming stressful are simply removed. Here, your dog is personally guided through their groom by me, with no room full of barking dogs and no kennel while they wait their turn, just a comfortable play pen. Most grooms are done in 45 minutes to an hour, with large and extra large dogs taking a bit longer, so there’s no long, anxious wait built into the day. If your dog has had a rough grooming experience before, whether at a busy salon or somewhere they were kenneled between steps, this structure is built to be different and more personal.
The one exception
I have a play pen provided should your dog need, or want to be in their own space away from other dogs. Otherwise, it’s toys and play in the main grooming room while we wait for you to arrive! Reminder, we do not provide daycare services and ask for pick up to be within 40 minutes of their finished appointment.
